Fragrances of this family typically open with a cool tonality, and usually contains calone or something similar. The opening then draws us to the moist dampness of ozone notes-- aqueous, breezy and crystal clear imagery. This is one of the main families into which modern perfumes are classified and popular for spring and summer wear. It is one of the newest categories beginning around late 80's/early 90's.. A very clean, modern smell leading to many of the modern unisex perfumes, also used to accent floral, oriental, and woody fragrances. Modern aquatic perfumes have various citrus, crisp fruits and vegetebles, herbaceous, green, white florals included.
