How To Order

First Set Up A Free Account : Click SIGN ME UP at the top right of the website to set up your account. It is easy, it only takes a minute, and it will ensure that your shopping cart doesn't time out. Your items will remain in your cart until you finish your order or delete the items yourself. You would be able to work on an order over a period of time. Also, you will see the estimated shipping totals at the bottom of the cart when you click MY CART at the top of the website -- so EVEN BEFORE YOUR FINALIZE YOUR ORDER you will get your shipping costs. Then, when you are ready to process your order and pay, click the CHECKOUT icon at the top of the website. Don't forget to review your order carefully as we cannot make changes to an order once it is placed.

Online: Our shopping cart system is encrypted and secure and orders processed online may be processed faster. If you wish to pay by credit card, during checkout, click the "Authorize.net" button.  Authorize.net is a reputable merchant account provider and all transactions are sent to them via 100% safe SSL encryption.  If you wish to pay via PayPal, please order through the shopping cart as mentioned above and during the checkout process click the "PayPal IPN" box.

Offline Payments: Offline ordering is simple as well.  Simply order online through the shopping cart and during checkout, click the appropriate buttons - "Fax/Phone Credit Card Info" or "Money Order or Cashiers Check".  IMPORTANT: In the comment portion upon checking out, indicate your method of payment, whether FAX PAYMENT INFO, MAIL PAYMENT, CALL-IN PAYMENT INFO.  During checkout, there will be an option to PRINT your order for your convenience.

Then,

By Phone: Call in your credit card information in to our customer service department at (718) 858-7422.

By Fax: Fax your printed order along with your credit card info to:  (801) 382-1487.

By Mail: Mail your printed order form, Money Orders or Cashiers Check (made payable to Save On Scents) to: Save on Scents, 388 Third Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11215  IMPORTANT INFO: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE THE SHIPPING COST IN YOUR ORDER PAYMENT.  ORDER PAYMENTS WITHOUT SHIPPING COST INCLUDED WILL BE HELD UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.   NOTE: Orders will be shipped as soon as payment arrives by mail. Please be sure to purchase delivery confirmation for your mailed payment.

SO YOU DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO COMPUTER OR ARE HAVING PROBLEMS ONLINE?

We gladly accept orders via telephone.  Our customer service representatives are available from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Cancellations: Please double check to ensure your order is complete. Once an order is placed, it cannot be changed or cancelled.  If we do receive a request for a change, it may delay your order and you will incur a $5.00 charge.  If an order is cancelled within two (2) hours of placing your order you will be charged a a $10.00 cancellation  fee.  If a paid order is cancelled you will incur a 15% restocking fee.

Minimum Order: Save on Scents.com does not require a minimum order to purchase our products at below wholesale prices. A resell number is not required to purchase from us online (except NY state residents and businesses). Shipping & Handling charges averaging $2-3 will be added to each order as well as any necessary shipping insurance to cover administrative costs and packaging costs.

Busy Season: Our busy season usually runs from September through December. During this time, orders may take longer to process and ship. We cannot hold orders for out of stock items during busy season. Special order bulk fragrances may take anywhere from 3-7 business days to be shipped, so please place your special orders in advance! All special/bulk orders must be pre-paid, and cannot be cancelled. If you need an order rushed, there is a $10 or 10% RUSH Fee (whichever is greater) to place your order in front of the others.

Credit Cards: The name on the credit card must match the name on your account, and the address must match the billing address of your credit card. If the shipping address is not the same as the credit card billing address, please note this when ordering. If your card is a debit card, please specify if you will need to be contacted with your total charges so you can enter that in your checkbook ledger.

High Dollar Amounts, Address Mismatches, and/or International Orders: A faxed copy of the back of the card ALONG with a copy of the signature on the last page of the invoice may be required for the following. This is to ensure legimate use of the credit card by the authorized party. If you think that you fit into this criteria, you may take a proactive approach by sending it along with your order placement to avoid delays.

* Orders over $150 where the address on the statement doesn't match the address in your Save On Scents account EXACTLY,
* Orders over $150 shipped internationally where address verification is not available (most international orders fall into this category),
* Orders over $150 where there is not address verification available for that bank.

Checks: SOS no longer accepts personal checks whatsoever. Any order with a personal check will be cancelled unless other payment arrangements have been made. We also  accept electronic checks through PayPal or Money Orders/Cashier's Checks. We strongly encourage sending Money Orders or Cashiers Checks.

Terms: All orders must be pre-paid before shipping. We do not offer any credit terms.

PLEASE NOTE: All orders are processed as soon as they are received. Please double check to ensure your order is complete. Once an order is placed, it cannot be changed or cancelled.  If we do receive a request for a change and it is approved, it may delay your order and you will incur a $5.00 service charge. SOS will accept cancelled orders up to one (1) hour after you have placed your order with no fee associated. If an order is cancelled or changed after one (1) hour of placing your order you will be charged $10.00 or a 20% restocking fee (whichever is greater). Cancellations or changes MUST be called in to the office and approved or an email sent to this address: CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Money Order & Cashier's Check Purchases: Save On Scents can only hold orders pending MO/Check payment for a period of 10 days. We will make at least one (1) attempt to contact you in regards to payment. If we do not receive payment within ten days and you order is cancelled you will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Customers who in effect cancel their order by not sending payment will not be able to order until we receive  payment to offset the cancellation charges.

Availability/Stock/Back Orders: We make every attempt to keep all products in stock, but we can not always guarantee their availability. Out of stock orders are usually held for a day or two and then shipped with or without the items. The back ordered items will ship separately. If any items are out of stock, we will make every attempt to contact you by e-mail or phone for instructions. At that time you will be given options of choosing alternate items or cancelling those items. If we cannot contact you before the end of the next business day, your order will be shipped without those items and replacements will be sent separately. We cannot be held responsible for any situation that may arise due to an item being out of stock. Items that need to be special ordered, such as bulk fragrances, etc. must be pre-paid and cannot be cancelled. Please allow ample time for special orders.

Shipping:

  • Shipping rates are calculated by weight & size of package.  It is calculated upon checkout.  If you would like to estimate your shipping charges, please click the "Calculate Shipping" button on the left toolbar.  We do not ship C.O.D. Unless approved in advance by Save on Scents.com
  • All orders are shipped via FEDEX unless otherwise specified or ground service is not available in your area (outside the continental U.S.).
  • We ship FEDEX Hundred Weight on orders of over 200 lbs (approx. 20% savings).
  • Orders are usually processed and shipped within 1 business day (2-3 business days during busy times of year or hand-dipped and specialty bottle orders) unless being held for out of stock items. Please note our turnaround times which are always posted to the left.
  • Next Day Air orders that leave on Fridays will arrive on Monday unless you specify Saturday Delivery (additional $10 charge).  Saturday Delivery is not available in all areas!
  • Orders outside the FEDEX areas are shipped US Postal Service Priority and may take longer to ship.  Please allow up to 2 weeks for processing on postal orders.

Handling: Because we have no minimums on our below wholesale prices, we DO need to add a $2 (domestic) to $3 (international) handling fee to offset the cost of packaging and administrative costs.  The final shipping and handling charges will be added upon checkout.

Tracking Your Package: You should have received an email with your tracking number.  If you have this number, click TRACK YOUR PACKAGE and enter your tracking number at the top of the site and you will be taken to the appropriate website with details on your shipment.
