This is a most unique scent and really smells of burnt wood! It is also very useful in woody blends and mens scents. It great as a stand-alone really!

As a child, my parents would almost always have a fire burning in their fireplace during the winter months. I absolutely love the smell and this fragrance oil is extremely accurate. I received it as a free sample (SOS concentration) with my last order and I am very pleased. OOB, it smells as if it will have a hint of spice, but in the final burning incense, it is pure firewood. Smokey, yes, but it most certainly has a strong charred wood scent. This would be a great background scent for holiday blends, but I think it can stand on its own just fine for those of us who love the smell of a roaring fire.

If you're thinking of buying both this oil as well as the 'smoke' oil offered here, also, don't. This smells just like the smoke oil, no firewood. Smells delicious, but it's just a disappointment that its scent resembles nothing of real firewood.
