Too Much Vanilla! Not at all a resemblance of the "pure" sandalwood fragrance, that turns me on and drives me wild (Sandalwood is an immediate aphrodisiac in most people.) And this doesn't compare. I have the EX CON. and cannot sell products with the name sandalwood, will have to sell this marked as Vanilla woods. Smells like vanilla cookies, with a very minute scent of coconut.
Still a good aroma for those who like food flavors....

I got this from the SOS sniffies program Ultra con. At first, it was really sweet and light when compared to my authentic Indian sandalwood oil. Out of the bottle it is not great, but when you try it on, it really warms up and has a delightful powdery core, almost like a sandalwood and baby powder mix. The dry down is delicious, too. It is not your typical musky-type sandalwood, it's light enough for young people to enjoy. There is a lot of nuance if you wait for the dry-down, and this type would mix well with florals or light spice. I do recommend it for a light, clean version of sandalwood....

Got the SOS concentration b/c it's expensive! Used for making incense. It smells really good, but takes a higher concentration because of the delicacy of the fragrance. This sandalwood is less bitter than some and resembles some of the best quality sandalwood products I've had. I am so pleased with this company....

I bought this for use in many of my spa mixes in a paraffin wax mix. The company I used before went out of business. I am glad ina way because I would have never found this Sandalwood oil. It is dead on like the scent I used before but much stronger. I use the ultra concentrate, and I and all my customers are very happy with the quality of the scent throw....

With the near extinction of the sandalwood tree, I have been been looking for an acceptable FO to take it's place. I have spent over $300 in the past year in the search and have finally found the perfect duplicate. This FO has a soft, but full bodied scent that does superb in soy candles. Better than the EO and at a much better price! I used the extreme concentrate, manuf. grade at 1 oz. per 1 lb. of wax. Out of the bottle smells a bit artificial but made in products, you's be hard pressed to tell the difference between this and the real deal....

i buy the base level concentrate and it's GREAT. i don't understand some of the negative reviews of this scent. If you know anything about true sandalwood it is a very light, mild scent. It's supposed to be. But even being a light mild scent, I have never had any problems with getting throw for candles, scent lingering from soap (as I type this i can smell the sandalwood on me from the shower I took lol), or getting an exceptional incense out of it. This is an amazing sandalwood... one of the best. In fact, I worked with a lab several years ago to design my own sandalwood because I couldn't find the right one. This comes so close to what I had designed I quit having it made for me and just started buying SOS's. Great job guys!...

Brought the sos manufact grade for use in perfume making. Very light sandalwood scented. Liked it, but would have preferred a stronger scent so would be able to use less in the perfume application. Would buy this one again....

I tested the SOS Concentration as a body oil. Out of the bottle it is very weak and I was hoping that on the skin it would improve in strength. No such luck. If you are set on this fragrance you may want to try a higher concentration especially for soaps, candles, incense, etc....

Sandalwood is my favorite scent and I use it often. I recently purchased your sandalwood classic in the extreme concentrate version and I really feel that I threw my money away. I can hardly smell it. I purchased much cheaper sandalwood scents from Brambleberry and Sweetcakes and there is no comparison, their scents are much stronger and better. I am basing my observations on the way it smelled in the bottle, the way it smelled on my arm after a few minutes to an hour, how it worked in hot process soap (I let the soap cool considerably before scenting it) and how it compared to others I have used in the same way. Is it possible that I got some that was way past its shelf life?...

This sandalwood is not very strong in the SOS concentration. I used it in making aroma beads and you can barely smell it. Would definitely have to increase the concentration for a lasting scent for this application....

This is one of my personal favorites. Soon as I opened my first bottle I knew it would be a hit. Very popular with the men folk. They loved to buy my sandalwood votive candles. I think it wears well also and would mix well with other fragrances for customizing your scents.
Usage: Ultra concentrate
Applications: Bottled Fragrance Oil (cut 50% with DPG)
Votives and tarts (1oz per pound paraffin)...

I really like this fragrance a lot, but the scent was very mild in CP soap. I used it in a coconut, palm, soy blend cold process soap and would recommend the ultra concentrate for this method. I also tried the Sandalwood Sweet in CP soap. LOVE the results, smells like sandalwood vanilla without the dark brown coloring....

I used the SOS and although I love the fragrance it did not hold up well in CP soap making. Perhaps the ultra concentrate would work better.

Perfect sandalwood fragrance carries through blending with other fragrances in effusion lamp fuel. I used the Extreme concentrate in 91% alcohol lamp fuel. At 10ml fragrance per liter of alcohol, the sandalwood overbalances other fragrances in the blend, and at half that amount, it blends very well while still being distinguishable from the other scents.
This sandalwood is a truer scent than some others I've used....
