I ordered this base not sure what to expect, but after playing with my body butter recipe for a bit and finally figuring it out..lol I LOVE IT! My body butter or frosting, cause its so rich and whipped, is fantastic! Better than anything I have found in a store! I added shea, cocoa, sweet almond oil, olive oil..and I also made a lotion! Like I said, LOVE!...

I've bought 2 gallons of this stuff in the past and plan on ordering many more gallons in the future. It is a great base product and has many uses. It is the starting point of everything I make. That being said, I have to note that you can not simply add water and scent to make a good product. To make it moisturizing or silky feeling on the skin, you have to add things like shea butter, aloe, cocoa butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, or something similar. I have absolutely no problem with this at all. It's still way easier than starting from scratch and way cheaper as well. On the multibase formulation page, you even get directions on how to do this! I am simply stating this because when I first ordered this produce, I thought I could add various amounts of water to make lotions, cremes and butters. I discovered that without the additives, you won't get a very good product. However, with even the smallest amount of shea butter or an oil, you get a fantastic product. By all means, BUY THIS...

I can't say enough about this product! I use this to make a heavier then usual body butter for problem dry skin (such as my own older skin, and winter even dryer + elbows, feet etc) and the results are astounding! I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't discovered this multibase to make a customized much needed RELIEF of dry and itching skin, as to this product I add a fairly large amount of melted down unrefined shea butter, and jojoba oil.! In addition to making a heavy body butter, and a 'regular' body butter (same but, much less additive of additonal shea/oils) this multibase is absolutely fabulous for making hair detangler, body mist, facial creams (customization needless to say makes you as indespensible, as this product is for your own personal use let alone customers!!) lotions.... non-greasy/sticky, and absorbs well, incredibly hold scent, and for unscented for those that prefer it this is an all around fantastic product!! I love this product I have only used it to make body lotionwith the silkbase and it is wonderful it leaves my skin feeling and looking so smooth and silky.

I've used this base for quite a few different projects and its honestly never failed me in the slightest. This is a wonderful product that I totally recommend you try. Its versatility is beyond crazy. I've added oils and butters to make great body butters, lotions, milks, and facial creams. I've found that this stuff can hold a good bit of additives and ingredients but I haven't gone past 2 tbsp per additive and I generally add mango, shea, avocado, kokum, cocoa butters, almond oil, grape seed oil or a variation of that combination to most of my products.
This saves me time and money and I have the peace of mind knowing that I can't mess this up, and it comes to me perfect every time. I can't always guarantee that when I make lotion...

I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT MONTHS AGO BUT I DIDN'T USE IT UNTIL RECENTLY, AND ONLY BECAUSE I RAN OUT OF ANOTHER BRAND. I WAS SKEPTICAL AT FIRST BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF WATER THAT NEEDED TO BE ADDED. BUT I GOT NO COMPLAINTS AND IT HOLDS THE FRAGRANCE WELL. I MADE THE LOTION AND THE CREAM. THE CREAM WAS A LIL GREASY BUT I ADDED SOME JOJOBA OIL AND THAT MADE IT SPRED BETTER. I WILL BE BUYING THIS PRODUCT AGAIN....

When I started making aroma therapeutic cosmetics, I planned on learning to make lotion from scratch. But... I found this site and read about the Multibase Concentrate. I decided to buy a tub and within one day, used it all! ONE DAY! I made small batches of everything on the list (cream, lotion, mist, etc) and loved every product! So did my friends and co-workers. This base is the foundation to most of my line of products and I've yet to hear one bad thing from customers :)
My only con is you have to balance the carrier oil/butter so that the concoction doesn't slather on and leave you feeling greasy....

I mixed the Multibase Concentrate with the ingredients that I use in my product formulas. The texture was perfect. Even with the fragrance oil, the base still maintained it's consistency. I went back and altered ALL of my formulas to include the Multibase Concentrate. I love having one ingredient that makes so many products. This is a must have for my business. The product is a real WINNER. I'm proud to present it my customers. Please keep it in stock....

I am experimenting with a body butter, I tried the new multi base cream and added shea and cocoa butter, it rubbed in nice but it began feeling gritty for a few seconds and stopped, so I made another batch with shea and aloe butter and so far no gritty feeling but the end result is wonderful. I had to change my recipe a bit but I will continue using the new base. Very simple and basic....

This is one of the best products my company has ever used!!! We use it as a base for all of our lotions, creams, etc. and can't keep it on the shelves. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quality product with consistent results....

I LOVE this product. It's great for small batches (use a bowl and whisk) and for large batches I use an industrial stand mixer. I didn't have any grit at all and the finished product is very high-quality and luxurious. If you further dilute it 1:12 base to water you get a GREAT leave-in detangler/treatment for hair!...

I have never in my life thought that I could make creams, lotions and body sprays until now. I love this product and would recommend it to all. This product is so easy to use and feels smooth and silky when applied to the skin after being mixed properly. My favorite fragrance oils to use with this product is Cashmere Mist and Cotton Candy. EXCELLENT!...

At first my formula was a failure due to the oils & water not mixing well. I mixed melted shea butter then added the multibase. I added the water and f/o last. The results were simply divine!

I didn't like it much. After mixing the lotion, it got really grainy, even without scent. Feels like there is sand in it! When I made body spray, it seperated into a white layer and a watery layer. It's okay, but I wouldn't buy it again....
