Marc J is my signature scent. I wear it exclusively. I bought the standard oil and made a perfume using perfumer's alcohol and was pleased. It is not exactly the same as the original but very very close. The original is heavier in a sense, can't really explain. I also made a M&P soap with it using shea butter, goat's milk, olive oil, coconut oil, & glycerin and using the amount of FO I typically do and it did not hold up too well. Scent is very faint. Probably would use the Ultra next time for soaps....

nice scent. i would wear this either spring or fall. light, airy, soft and sensual. . its nice. the longer it stays on, the better it smells.

I purchased the roll-on perfume to see how this matches up with the original; I have worn Marc Jacobs for nine years and while not an exact duplication...this is close. It is absolutely lovely and plan to order the Ultra to be used in all applications. 5 stars!...

I find the ultra is excellent in silkessence. Many customers like it in my goats milk lotions & soaps also. Excellent product!

Absolutely my favorite!! Beautiful scent, smells exactly like Marc Jacobs Essence. I love it and get a lot of compliments on it!

Absolutely gorgeous! One sniff of this and I was hooked! I haven't smelled the original in a long while, but as I remember it, the SOS version is dead on.
This is a less cloying and heavy version of a gardenia scent. The ultimate in femininity. I have the Ultra cosmetic version, and made it into perfume with the SOS perfumer's alcohol. I will also use it for perfume oil roll-ons....

Great duplication, range of customers like this scent. Used sos in lotions, mp soaps (everyone loves it in goats milk mp soap) shower gel, bath salts. Fresh and clean, I have even had men buy it for their wives!...

I purchased the SOS conentration to use as a fragrance and put it on one wrist and the actual MJ EDP on the other. The scents were identical to my nose, the only difference was in the way they felt on the skin. Dead on dupe!...
