i can't help but wonder if i'm anosmic to this smell, because it's hardly perceptible to me once it's on the skin, but it hits my nose physically (makes me want to sneeze). beautiful in the bottle.

(Ex. Con.) I recently purchased this again, and it is weaker than the previous bottle I bought a year ago. I could hardly smell it out of the bottle. I don't have anosmia towards sandalwood either because I compared both bottles and the older one is stronger. I'm slightly disappointed that the strength wasn't consistent. Hopefully this gets rectified....

I got this as a sample and it truly is a musky scent. I think I will order another version though because I'd like something a little smoother.

Such a pleasant soft sent! Absolutely love this scent! Alone and as a mixer it's perfection! This scent is going to be used in soy wax and tarts and was bought as the regular concentrate.

I ordered this in the SOS concentration and I was very pleased with it. It could be a wee bit stronger because it lacks something when I put it in a candle by itself. BUT...I do a lot of blending and this is great for that, gives the sandalwood background without overpowering the other fragrances....

(Ex. Con.) I don't think this is too subtle nor strong either. It's the middle of the road in terms of strength. This is a nice fresh sandalwood without any powder or vanilla notes in it.

I have to say that this is the lightest sandalwood I have every come across ...l and I ordered the Xtreme. I myself am not a sandalwood fan..but I have to deal with it in making perfume and lotions. I have the womening that are liking it and the men are on the fence... But if u like a strong sandalwood for soaps, candles ...this might not be for it... But on the other hand it does have a nice light lingering for people who do like it .....

They should label this for "incense only". This will not make a good candle. I could not smell it out of the bottle, but after 10 minutes, I could smell a light and fresh scent on my skin. I have read the reviews and it seems that most of the customers that bought this for candles are disappointed with how light it is, and the Customers that use if for other things such as soaps or incense love it.
*NOTE...TOO LITE FOR CANDLES*...

I have thousands of customers in 3 new England states. I have not heard a bad thing about your Sandalwood. I use the SOS blend for my incense line and appreciate that Sandalwood is a delicate scent to begin with. Not every area likes the same thing, each one of my stores has different needs. That is why I am grateful for the wide variety of scents too. Sandalwood is a must have and I like this one. Good price makes me happy, good scent makes my customers happy....

very, very weak. customers turn it down immediately as not having any scent. tried blending it with other scents,it is almost undetectable. very very disappointed with this one got the sos con., and comments were the oil straight out of the bottle. if you want a true, rich sandalwood scent, this is NOT it
SOS Response: Weak yes, and delicate as Tunisian, and for those that do not want spend $500 / lb. As evident, some do know the varying sandalwood fragrances on the planet and some do not and the nose and fragrance palettes vary, thus the wide range of opinions, please use your \'objective\' judgement wisely....

Extreme concentrate for oil blends and incense. A subtle and pleasant unisex fragrance. I have tried other sandalwood. This is the one I reach for when I want to make a sultry musky blend.

This is a yummy fragrance! It's a really warm fragrance, the only problem is that it's pretty light. Next time I might order a stronger version.

This scent is deceptively subtle out of the bottle, and I've noticed a lot of folks complaining that it's too faint. I felt the same, until I tried it as a blender. My goodness, what an amazing, true, wonderful sandalwood -- and it lingers, especially on the skin. I've used it in body fragrance blends (both SOS and Ultra concentration; I highly recommend the Ultra), and after I'm done mixing and spilling oils all over myself, this is the one I notice keeps haunting me. It's really, really beautiful, and gives so much depth to so many blends, especially sweeter concoctions. Give it a chance. It's the loveliest approximation of sandalwood I've found yet....

Sandalwood is not suppose to be intense. This is a wonderful stand alone scent or blender, which makes many other scents so much better, IMO. It is always in my cabinet and in my stock. I make incense, but it also very popular for soap, which I use to also make. Men and women love it....

This starts out with a slightly sweet edge, and what I can only describe as a not-unpleasant 'dusty' smell. When the fragrance begins to develop, it has more of a soft, woody quality, but from start to finish, I pick up a subtle but noticeable sweet aromatic scent which reminds me of cinnamon or some other sweet spice. Overall, this is a lovely scent, and adds a nice, gentle note of sweet woods to blends. Very nice. I wish I was more directly familiar with the Tunisian sandalwood oil to make a comparison, but I do like this very much. Tried this in a body cream base and will be using it in a blend for perfume....

This is in my top 5 favorite scents purchased from S/O! Warm, sweet, a perfect balance for Sandalwood. This one is great on it's own, but seems to blend well with everything. I use this in many of my fragrance blends to add a nice round base. And of course, this makes for an outstanding incense....

I purchased the SOS concentration for use in MP Soap Making. As the description says, it's very light smelling when smelling it out of the bottle, but once you use it, throws a lot further than you would imagine...and only gets stronger the longer you let bars dry/cure. Blends wonderfully with Rose oil....
