I have bought this oil in the ultra strength for incense both before and after the reformulation. This new formulation is much sweeter. candylike. I hope it will work in my incense blend as well as the old formula....

Definitely a unique wood scent. Could be stronger on the cherry wood and less varnishy.

(Ex. Con.) This is strong OOTB. I would describe this as a feminine scent, but anyone could wear it. There is a light red cherry fruitiness with a subtle wood note. It is fresh and yet soft at the same time. It is not perfumey, nor does it smell like those "japanese cherry blossom" scents on the market these days. There is something in this that I can't quite put my finger on. Heliotrope perhaps? There is no vanilla in this and it is not sugary sweet. This scent could definitely be worn alone. It also mixed well in one of my perfume blends. A unique scent!...

Great scent out of the bottle, but would not recommend for incense - has an acrid, plasticky smell when burned.

Smooth cherry scent with undertone of woods. Warm, clean fruit scent, not maraschino-y at all. This was for our Christmas Limited Edition and sold very well.
Ordered it in ultra and it worked well in CP soap at .7 oz PPO. No discoloration, small amount of acceleration, but problem was solved by making sure FO was well blended into oils before adding the room temp. lye water....

There is almost no wood scent at first, but this does have a very nice sweet cherry scent to it. The wood part seems to come out more on the dry down. Overall a pleasant scent.

I got the cherrywood oil as a sample in the 1oz SOS concentration. I love this scent. Very "cherry" but not a lot of wood. I'm going to blend it with Teak or the other wood fragrances I purchased. Blended very nicely wit Amber and expect to reorder in the XC concentration soon!...
