I was super excited to try this as rockrose is one of my all-time favorite smells, that deep vanillic, cistus-labdanum scent. This is not that rockrose,however. This goes on as an aldehydic rose scent with woody notes and dries down super sweet. Rather than a woody resin, I get mostly a rose perfume blend. That being said, it's a nice one and should add a unique note to candle collections or soap seller's wares....

Just received as a sample and it is a beautiful, soft, warm fall fragrance. Will reorder!
