For years, nearly every vanilla fragrance oil I have purchased from various companies have been duds. They always smell great OOB, but quickly turn chemical-like or spoiled milk-like once on skin (I make lotions/perfume.) I purchased the 1/2 oz Extreme Conc. Testing Sampler and included Vanilla on a whim. I really glad I did. Expecting this scent to morph just like all the others, I tested it on my wrist without much hope. It's been on my wrist for over an hour now and to my surprise, there is no chemical smell, no spoiled milk smell.. just a pleasantly sweet (not too sweet) vanilla. My only complaint is that I wish it was stronger, as the scent does fade quite a bit. It's still there though, just lingering softy. Just my luck, after searching for the perfect vanilla for nearly a decade, I find it, and it's quite mild lol. It will make a great blender for those seeking a quiet vanilla note....

It is a sweet Vanilla. I don't find it to be true Vanilla. Pleasant enough but synthetic somewhat. Bought in SNIFFIE for incense.

(Ex. Con.) This is strong OOTB. It smells like rice krispie treats and/or those air freshner beads for cars. It is not too sweet and not too buttery. There is no alcohol smell like vanilla extract, nor is it like a full sticky vanilla bean. I definitely detect some cereal notes. It also smells a bit like bourbon with a subtle tobacco backnote. I would describe this as a middle of the road vanilla....

This smells like real vanilla. Not too sweet or overpowering like some others I have tried. Blends very well with other fragrances. I got this as a sample in extreme concentration. Worked will in M&P soap....

A basic vanilla, great for layering or blending. No butter or cereal notes to mess it up. A tiny bit sweetened, but not enough to ruin the effect.

Purchased in SOS for candles. Great smell not to sweet but very nutty as it should be. Will be 1 of my best sellers for candles and scent blocks. Great mix in soy wax I will burn this in my house often....

I got this as a sample in Extreme and used it in a body souffle'. It's amazing! Nice and rich, mellow, and not too sweet. I'm ordering a nice big bottle to get to work on M&P Soaps, more souffle's, and some scrubs. My customers are already pre-ordering from the samples I made....

Ultra concentration!!! I use this in an oil burner to remove unwanted odors after preparing any type of fish dinner. The fragrance lingers without being too overpowering. Also, a must to combat cigarette smoke....

I got a samples of the sos concentrate. It is a sweet vanilla scent. It reminds me of icing. It is a little bit too lite for what I need it for so, Ultra Concentrate would be better for me.

I am still undecided on this one. I used a 1:1 mix with DPG of the SOS concentration for incense. I was not impressed with this OOB. The scent was good, but very, very mild. I agree with another reviewer that called it "plain old vanilla". It is... if you can smell it. Once the incense was burned, the scent was somewhat stronger and might be acceptable to those who want a mild, unobtrusive, mellow scent. It is very simple, single-layer scent. I am considering blending this with other scents like cinnamon or lavender. I hope in those instances it will remain unobtrusive and complement the other scent rather than mask it like a heavier scent might. But as far as a stand alone vanilla scent, I might have to try something a touch more complex, or just upgrading to a higher concentration of this scent....

I am not a "vanilla" person. I purchased this to use in a gift. I'm mixing the SOS Concentration with sandalwood, jasmine and musk. As far as vanilla goes it's spot-on. Fairly strong fragrance when I opened the bottle....

This is a nice vanilla scent. It's not super sweet and it's just a good, plain old vanilla. I used the SOS concentration in body products.

I was not impressed with the vanilla. Very mild. scent is not outstanding at all when mixed with soy wax. will not get vanilla again. Too many complaints from my candle buyers that they cannot smell it. I double scent my candles too. may work well with othe r mixes, but not alone....
