This was totally 1970s coconut sandalwood sunscreen for me. I wish I could remember the product this reminds me of, but it's exact. There is just so much coconut.in this, and it also lasts for absolutely ever even when scrubbed. I hated it, but people will love it. Coconut, powdery vanilla, sandalwood. Didn't smell like actual sandalwood the wood to me at all, but like a scented product. I am giving it four stars because it will make good lotions for people who like this kind of thing, or any kind of toiletries leaning a bit feminine, and it probably mixes fabulously with florals. I'm taking one star off is because the other notes occlude the sandalwood, and for a key note, it should be simple sandalwood without other notes messing it up. I make perfumes, so single notes are very important to my blends. For gift making, though, I use pre-blended, perfumey scents and this falls into that category....

Tried a sniffie in extreme concentration--diluted in jojoba oil to make a little roll-on perfume oil. This smellied SO GOOD out of the bottle, just amazing! However when it dried down, it went extremely baby powdery on me. I only had a sample, so it's used up but if I bought more I'd definitely use it in a room spray or candle because it smelled so perfect out of the bottle!...

I couldn't really smell this one in the sniffie version. It's was way too light, too weak.

I purchased this in Extreme concentration and used in perfume oils and oil burner. Spot on, it's a true sandalwood, light and airy. I blended this with a touch of violet in my oil burner - heavenly! Keep in mind that Sandalwood is supposed to be quite light and subtle....

This is a truly beautiful scent. The best smelling sandalwood I've ever tried in a fragrance oil. Its soft, feminine and lays a lovely base to build fragrances upon. A must have in my collection, I'd highly recommend this scent! Bought in extreme concentration....

I got SOS concentration and that was perfect to add to lotion. Wonderful mellow scent.

Bought SOS concentration for making after shave. The woody notes don't last long. My wife thinks I smell like cookies when I wear it unblended. I've used it in a couple blends with eucalyptus and vetiver, both of which improve it for wearing as after shave. Not great in after shave, will try in shaving soap next....

When worn on the skin, this starts with excellent woody notes and dries down to more of a powdery vanilla. Very pleasant, and a good unisex scent. In soap, it holds the woody notes better and makes a great product for men, and blends well with florals. I'll probably use this mostly as a blender for women's scents, but it smells great on it's own....

I buy this in SOS concentration, use in bath/body products. This is the ONLY Sandalwood I will buy. It doesn't have that baby powder scent that so many other sandalwood FOs do. My customers love this interpretation of sandalwood....

Too Much Vanilla! Not at all a resemblance of the "pure" sandalwood fragrance, that turns me on and drives me wild (Sandalwood is an immediate aphrodisiac in most people.) And this doesn't compare. I have the EX CON. and cannot sell products with the name sandalwood, will have to sell this marked as Vanilla woods. Smells like vanilla cookies, with a very minute scent of coconut. Still a good aroma for those who like food flavors....

I got this from the SOS sniffies program Ultra con. At first, it was really sweet and light when compared to my authentic Indian sandalwood oil. Out of the bottle it is not great, but when you try it on, it really warms up and has a delightful powdery core, almost like a sandalwood and baby powder mix. The dry down is delicious, too. It is not your typical musky-type sandalwood, it's light enough for young people to enjoy. There is a lot of nuance if you wait for the dry-down, and this type would mix well with florals or light spice. I do recommend it for a light, clean version of sandalwood....

Got the SOS concentration b/c it's expensive! Used for making incense. It smells really good, but takes a higher concentration because of the delicacy of the fragrance. This sandalwood is less bitter than some and resembles some of the best quality sandalwood products I've had. I am so pleased with this company....

A very true sandalwood, one of the best ones I've found. Subtle and versatile. Extreme strength used for body oil.

One of the better Sandalwood fragrances I have worked with. SOS concentration is plenty for use in my body products.

I bought this for use in many of my spa mixes in a paraffin wax mix. The company I used before went out of business. I am glad ina way because I would have never found this Sandalwood oil. It is dead on like the scent I used before but much stronger. I use the ultra concentrate, and I and all my customers are very happy with the quality of the scent throw....

With the near extinction of the sandalwood tree, I have been been looking for an acceptable FO to take it's place. I have spent over $300 in the past year in the search and have finally found the perfect duplicate. This FO has a soft, but full bodied scent that does superb in soy candles. Better than the EO and at a much better price! I used the extreme concentrate, manuf. grade at 1 oz. per 1 lb. of wax. Out of the bottle smells a bit artificial but made in products, you's be hard pressed to tell the difference between this and the real deal....

i buy the base level concentrate and it's GREAT. i don't understand some of the negative reviews of this scent. If you know anything about true sandalwood it is a very light, mild scent. It's supposed to be. But even being a light mild scent, I have never had any problems with getting throw for candles, scent lingering from soap (as I type this i can smell the sandalwood on me from the shower I took lol), or getting an exceptional incense out of it. This is an amazing sandalwood... one of the best. In fact, I worked with a lab several years ago to design my own sandalwood because I couldn't find the right one. This comes so close to what I had designed I quit having it made for me and just started buying SOS's. Great job guys!...

Brought the sos manufact grade for use in perfume making. Very light sandalwood scented. Liked it, but would have preferred a stronger scent so would be able to use less in the perfume application. Would buy this one again....

I tested the SOS Concentration as a body oil. Out of the bottle it is very weak and I was hoping that on the skin it would improve in strength. No such luck. If you are set on this fragrance you may want to try a higher concentration especially for soaps, candles, incense, etc....

Sandalwood is my favorite scent and I use it often. I recently purchased your sandalwood classic in the extreme concentrate version and I really feel that I threw my money away. I can hardly smell it. I purchased much cheaper sandalwood scents from Brambleberry and Sweetcakes and there is no comparison, their scents are much stronger and better. I am basing my observations on the way it smelled in the bottle, the way it smelled on my arm after a few minutes to an hour, how it worked in hot process soap (I let the soap cool considerably before scenting it) and how it compared to others I have used in the same way. Is it possible that I got some that was way past its shelf life?...
