Never smelled rose wood but it smells like rose and wood so there you go! I like this. I love wood smells and the rose makes it more feminine. This reveiw is OOB and from an extreme sniffie sample.

i purchased this after falling in head over heals with the perfume version. rosewood, the oil, has a nice masculine woodsy scent although it is for women. I purchased it in the extreme. however, it did not match the lighter scent that I enjoyed so much in the perfume. I did like it. but the two scents did not seem to go together....

ACtually this smells nothing at all like Rosewood essential oil. Rosewood is endangered, which is why I am looking to find a good dupe. This is not the slightly fruity, green rosewood that I have in essential. It is a soft, powdery sandalwood with cedar notes and perhaps a jot of rose in it. It is a nice blend and will work for many people but it is not remotely rosewood, so be aware of this while ordering....

I bought this in extreme con. It smells like dry, rich cedar (bordering on himalayan) with a faint hint of rose mingled with a light,creamy lemon/fruity note. Smells like rosewood.

Nice! Balsamy, woody, slightly sweet. Diluted to 25% and applied to skin, it mellows to hints of cedar and rose and drys down to a powdery finish that lingers. More than a heart note, not quite a base. Addictive!...
