Doesn't smell like osmanthus. I live in an apartment complex with the trees planted everywhere and it smells nothing like that. This scent is just a floral scent. Osthmanthus is supposed to have a floral peachy smell. This is one-dimensional (tested on fragrance strip)...

Match for sweet olive trees commonly found in the southern us. I was so pleased to find this complex scent finally. This is very sweet, floral, clean, almost powdery but more creamy scent. Very strong with good hot and cold throw in soy wax....

Very pretty and sweet floral. Similar to olive leaf, yet reminiscent of plastic doll and grapefruit.

Very sweet, very olive-y smell. Definitely different, so if you're not familiar with it, be careful. I know it will work great in a "clean-smelling" and wholesome oilive oil soap, so I'm glad I bought it. But what it goes with in body care, I have no idea. Reminds me of a wood soap they used to use in church when I was little. Tried mixing it with other oils and it adds a "clean" note....

Beautiful, honey sweet floral with good projection. I've never encountered a sweet olive tree, so I can't comment on how accurate the fragrant oil is. I got it in SOS for perfumery.

(Ex. Con.) This is strong OOTB. I could detect the apricot and buttery (olive) notes that is normally associated with osmanthus. It definitely does smell like an olive blossom and has a unique scent all of it's own....

True to the flowering bush common here in the South. Spicy, sweet and intense. I use it in soy candles.

I received an SOS sniffie of this. I had really high hopes for this scent, but it's not quite what I was wishing for. I saw another reviewer mention Russian Olive, and my heart skipped a little beat because I've been searching high and low for a scent that is truly on-target for what our Russian Olive trees smell like when they are in bloom. I grew up with them in our yard and where I live now we are surrounded by them, so I am quite familiar with the scent. Their fragrance is heady, sweet, powdery when they are in full bloom... quite intoxicating. That's not what this scent is to me. It's much more green, more like an olive leaf & twig scent with the faintest hint of blossoms as opposed to a strong, sweet floral. It's still a nice scent that would work wonderful for blending in perfumery applications, I'm sure....

I looked for years for a true Sweet Olive scent to duplicate those that grow in my yard. I tried several and they were not at all close until I found this one from save on Scents. Wow...it is an exact duplication. I ordered the extreme and it is very strong. I use it in a blend and it adds the perfect touch. Yesterday I used it alone to create a Sweet Olive soap...It is very strong and very sweet, but very sweet olive. It is the best Osmanthus I've ever used....

I'm new to scents, so my nose is not trained to pick up the different "notes" and things. I like this scent. Maybe it's just me, but I smell a powdery aspect to it. Used SOS concentration as roll on.

This is another do-able. Real nice, it kind of makes things a little better. The smell is different, and pleasing to indulge. Something new, I can appreciate this one.

This fragrance oil is the closest I've found to the actual sweet olive blossom. If that's what you're looking for, don't hesitate to order this one!

This smells mild in the bottle but the scent is much stronger when applied to the skin directly or blended in products, or used in an oil burner. I forgot to say I bought the SOS concentrations of alI fragrances I've posted comments about. Osmanthus would make a very classy soapmaking fragrance, I mixed it into lotion and it smells divine, very feminine and high-end. I'm giving it 4 stars because it may not be for everyone, I'd call it an acquired taste, it grows on you....
