We bought the SOS concentration. We didn't compare it against the actual YC Tulip, but we like the nice tulip smell of this product. Our customers like it also. We currently offer as a fragrance oil, soy tart, soy candle, and gel tart. We would buy again....

I got this as a sniffie. I don't the lilly part it smells very green and clean to me just like a tulip does would be great as part of a fresh floral fragrance

This scent smells more like a Calla Lily or a Tiger Lily. Smells nothing like the yankee candle type to me. I will still use it and call it Calla Lily instead. Or mix it with other floral and make blends. I got the SOS....

This scent is a good smell but I think it resembles Lily of the Valley more than Tulip.

First, let me say that this fragrance is RIGHT ON for true tulip in my opinion. It is a very clean, green fragrance without any real floral tones - just like a real tulip smells like. I ordered & tested it in the ultra concentrate in CP soap (palm, coconut, olive, shea & castor - in that order) at 3.7% (of total weight of batch), mixing at close to 90 degrees. I loved the scent of it in the bottle, and it smells the same, only lighter in the final soap - which has cured about 2 weeks. Unfortunately it did seize immediately upon addition to the soap pot and the final soap had tiny pockets of oil upon cutting. The texture of the bar is also rather 'bubbly or curdled' looking. Might work fine in M&P? And it really does smell like real tulip to me....
