So, Florida Water can smell a few different ways depending on the manufacturer and the medium it's in -- for example, even Murray & Lanman smells totally different depending whether you buy their cologne, their air spray, or their soap.
In the straight oil form, the Save on Scents version doesn't smell recognizably Florida Water-esque at all, but does remind me of an inexpensive shampoo that I especially dislike. The undertone of Florida Water is in it, though. I bought some of the oil with plans to make incense from it, and found that once it was actually ON the incense cones it smelled a lot more like Florida Water cologne already, and the finished perfume smelled like one would probably expect Florida Water Incense to smell. So, there seems to be something in the straight oil that gives it a nasty tone but which dies down once diluted. I would want to wear it as a body oil but it seems fine for scenting other items....
