I purchased the 16 oz. to use in my cold process soaps (this particular recipe was a soy oil based). I'm giving this 2 stars because while the scent isn't unbearable, it smells nothing like vanilla or mint. It may be that the bottle is mislabeled, but this has a floral scent- and of all 12 people I have asked what it smells like, not one said vanilla or mint, or any combination thereof. It smells more like a cross between nag champa and a cheap perfume. Since I purchased so much of it, I will use it, but I can't in good conscious label it something it doesn't smell like.
I will check back in a week or so after my soap has had some time to cure, but as of right now (about an hour after making a 5 lb batch) it's not vanilla or mint. I used 5 oz in a 5 lb batch of soap of regular concentration.
If you're a CP soap maker, get a tester or a 1 oz before buying in bulk with this like SOS suggests. Like I said, it's not unbearable, just not vanilla mint....

I did not like this out of the bottle, it sort of had a stinky smell to it. Once I put this on a strip it was a different story. This smells like vanilla and mint with a mild perfumey edge to it. I like it and think it will smell wonderful in soap!...

extreme concentrate, not enough vanilla to me, smelled kinda like a milder wintergreen. Not bad though. Will mix to make more vanilla-ish for soy candles.
