I bought the standard in this, but it did not smell like Hay Bales we bale hay every year on the farm and not close at all, but it's not a bad scent.

Used Ultra concentration for making soy candles, and found it very very sweet. Smelled like caramel popcorn to me. To the point that I wonder if I may have been given the wrong oil. Not bad necessarily, but not at all what I expected from the other reviews. Very sweet candy....

We bought this in SNIFFIE. It is very nice. It has a muskiness that is unusual. I do pick up on the wheat fresh in the field smell. It is a little perfumey to me that I did not expect.

Got this in SOS concentration, first as a sniffie, then as a 1oz bottle. LOVE this one...I don't know what hay smells like (I live next to a farm, but the cow smell overpowers the hay smell :P)...but to me it smells a bit like fresh cut wood (more like sawdust than "Sawdust")...Use it in conditioner, lotion, and home spray...and can't get enough of it. One of my two faves (the other being firewood.)...

First scent is dry sharp grass with the turpentine notes of rotting vegetation. It reminds me a LOT of a corn maze. As it dries down there are definite licorice notes among the grassy notes. It doesn't smell like Hay bales or a wheat field, as others have noted, but it's a nice autumn blender. I tried the SOS concentratin and unfortunately it doesn't last long. It might last longer once blended with more stable notes? I will have to experiement. A fun scent that I'm loving....

Sweet dried grass with a lavender nuance. Doesn't smell like the hay bales that I know but it smells pleasant. It's a good mixer for oil-based products. - Purchased Standard concentration.
