Cucumber rind and something rank. I don't smell books, furniture, paper...it's not a library to me. Sad because I so wanted that!

I'm so sad! I wanted this to smell like books, paper, magazines, a library, anything like that... But to no avail. I'm going to try to blend pine with this and see if that helps. I am guessing if it's blended with something else it may be better....

Ultra concentration. I wanted this to smell like the real thing, badly. To me, and I understand every nose is different, it smells putrid. I can't take a whiff of it, without nearly gagging. Sorry. It just didn't do it for me....

This blend is quite unique and it worked fantastic for my old books candles. We added some pine to it and customers love it.

I got this in a sniffie sampler and was so excited for an old book smell. I was disappointed to smell sweet hints mixed with a wood musk, it didn't go well together and created an awful smell.

Wasn't quite sure how this one would turn out at first, but once I smelled it I was hooked. The fragrance really is that of a library and I use this in soy candles, I really love this oil!

I get magazine covers and dusty parchment with this oil. My customers love it though. It's one of my best sellers. Great as well for blending.

I had really high hopes for this oil. Unfortunately, all I could smell was toasted marshmallow. I wanted dusty, musty, old library.....but instead it smells more like candy the librarian has stashed. There is maybe a tiny bit of "dust" in there, but not what I was expecting. Overall, it's still a nice smell, just not what I was wanting....

SOS used in soy wax candles. Straight from the bottle I got moldy paper scent. Once it is mixed and cured it mellows to a more accurate old book smell. It still has an undertone of dirt and mold but I get a more musty smell....

I was so excited to test this fragrance. Unfortunately it didn't smell very library-ish, unless they were going for a library full of dirty cucumbers, that is. My very first impression upon smelling this oil was straight up, 100% cucumber. I figured if I let the scent air out for a little bit it may come down and smell like it is supposed to. After a short while I could tell a difference, but the cucumber note did not change. I was only able to pick out a slight dusty smell under it, which if it weren't for, would make this a perfect cucumber fragrance. I really wanted to like this....

Hmm, I had high hopes, but this is not what I expected. It may smell a bit more like newsprint? Xerox copies? New ink, not really old books.I do hope SOS will try again!
