Ordered a sniffie sample and tested its dry down on a piece of cotton. IMO this fragrance is perfect just as it is. There are different types of 'dirt' scents, and you need different types to create different scenic blends. True to its description this is a very damp and slightly cool earth scent. Think "northern forest" blends where an earthy backdrop needs to contribute to a refreshing quality while still retaining genuine earthiness. Trying to achieve that consistently by tweaking a 'dirt' fragrance with camphor, eucalyptus, mint, tea tree, etc can honestly be a pain. This "Mud" fragrance is just right fresh OOTB....

Ordered sniffie for perfume making. Smells nice but not WHAT SO EVER like mud or dirt ever touched it. I'm getting O Henry Bar here 100%

I ordered this as an SOS sniffie sample; it's nice. It is very similar to "Fresh Dirt" however, which I like better actually. I was hoping for a stronger moist dirt smell; this is a little more medicinal than I care for....
