We used the SOS version for Soy Wax Candles and melts....This is outstanding! I just love the scent and smells like a true likeness to dirt. :)

This smells EXACTLY like fresh dirt. If you know what freshly opened potting soil smells like, you know exactly what this smells like. I ordered the standard concentration but I have yet to make it into a candle so I'm not sure of the strength/scent after it's been made, but straight from the bottle, it smells awesome!...

It does smell like dirt, but on it's own it has no longevity on my skin, would probably work fine in blends though. Purchased as sniffie sample in Xtreme concentration, for perfume making.

This is an extremely accurate dirt scent! I bought it in ultra strength: a little goes a very long way. I use it for florals and outdoor/rain type blend scents when I want to make a scent that has a tinge of garden/park. Anything more than a touch, though, and the whole thing smells like dirt, so use with caution! 5 stars for excellent accuracy....

Smells just like dirt! I used it as a blend in some of my shower gel and candle mixes and it turned out wonderful. My friend I made the gifts for was thrilled and now wants me to make her more.

Got this as an SOS sniffie, used it in conditioner, lotion and room spray. All I can say it: yes, it definitely smells like dirt...Spot on. It mellows a bit after being on skin or in hair...Becomes a bit sweeter....

I ordered the sos and used it in soy wax as a mixer. I love it! Smells like potting soil, as has been mentioned before, but if you're going to use this with other scents, keep in mind that it is very overpowering. You only need a little. Trust me!...

I was excited for this one, i got SOS concentration, but I don't think I'll be using it. While it does smell like dirt, it is very reminiscent of Crayola's Dirt scented crayon. If it was more earthy in some way and more sophisticated I'd buy it again. But whenever I use it, I just smell crayons....

I received the SOS sniffie of this scent and it's pretty accurate. It does have a medicinal undertone and the SOS concentrate is extremely mellow; I am going to order the extreme concentrate to blend with some other earthy scents....

SOS sniffie... some loamy, a little sweet. Cut to a 25% dilution and applied to skin, lasted 15 min and then gone. Top note in a woody perfume, maybe?

Smells exactly like freshly turned soil. This is fresh dirt! I absolutely love it as a mixer. It adds an earthiness to any other scent and of course smells great on its own. Will repurchase! - Standard concentration for oil-based items....

I agree with previous reviews: This is a lovely moist potting soil scent, perfect for grounding darker blends when patchouli or standard woody fragrances would overpower things. Doesn't take over, but also doesn't last as long as I'd like in blends. Still, a good mixer....

I received my extreme concentrate of this today. I must admit, I was nervous about ordering a dirt scent. I was surprised but how pleasant it was though. It wasn't a sick muddy stink or anything. It was more of a clean potting soil type dirt. It was sort of a calming nature smell that I think will be unexpected and surprisingly pleasant in my perfumes....

OOB - Sweet, less dirt and more flowers. There's a dirt scent there, but it's not the strong earth you get from opening a bag of potting soil. This is much more like a wet flowerpot; sweet floral with a dirt undertone. A tiny bit of 'green' smell in there too, but the sweet top note is much stronger. I was hoping for a strong DIRT smell out of this. I have a 'straight' dirt sniffie I'll be trying out later....

awesome smell, personal i love the smell of dirt. i grew up simi country and always out side playing in dirt. i just to love this smell as a child, and as adult women it still bring me back to being a child. however the public did think the name was cute, i brought the sos line pound bottle, it not matter to me if i got stuck with 200 sticks of dirt , i think it awesome any way...... just playing around with this one. i will reorder this when my season get started.... i tell you what i took some that was left over and made soap out of it for hunting and fishing, i used it for body spray and shampoo body wash..... you would not beleive what kind of wild life you get to see when they do not smell human fleash on you..... i live in the mountian on tn and we had this huge male bear in the back yard, i was out getting firwood last wonter and walked up on him in the yard. when stand up looked and me and walked away. that how this dirt smell like the real thing, the ranger we called said the ...

This smell is awesome! I bought the SOS formula, upon my husbands request, and it rocks! My brother loves it also, and we are creating custom candles with this smell. LOVE IT!!!

This definitely smells like dirt. A great dirt scent. I did a test on my skin, and the dry down was very perfumey, but I'm finding that with a lot of the scents from here. Initially they smell just like they do out of the bottle, then once on for a while, they all seem to have the same base smell. Kind of a cheap generic, chemical perfume scent. To be totally fair, this could be just what they're doing on my skin. I'm just wondering if anyone else out there is experiencing this. I'm ordering the SOS strength. Am I maybe using too much? Or could it just be the reaction with my skin?...
