I was disappointed with this one smells very powdery- almost like baby powder-might work as a blender for cologne type scents but certainly not what i was expecting.

Sweeter and more tolerable than other oakmosses. A little patchouli. Smells more like Vetiver than the Vetiver oil did to me. Ordered in Extreme Sniffie Sample.

was not a huge fan of this, but now that i made incense out of it, i think it going to be a hit seller with us.

I can say enough about this now that I have discovered it. It is a masculine type smell and it's natural and clean smelling. It is also very calming. This is going to be something that I keep all the time. I love it! Also smells good in the Frankincense and Oakmoss!...

Oakmoss is amazing! I ordered it in a candle and the cold throw is so sensuous and soothing. I ordered the extreme!! One of my SOS favorites! Going to make some perfume, candles and lotions.

SOS candlemaking. I personally have no idea what oakmoss is supposed to smell like, but I really like this. It's a great base note and nice on its own, earthy and woodsy with a little spice. People are intrigued by it and it just walks out the door....

I'll confess that I don't know what real Oakmoss smells like.....this oil is quite nice, though. My 6yr old says "it smells like fall", and it kind of does. It's masculine and a bit dusty, but with a chemicaly over tone. I think if it were mixed with another oil, or used in a candle, it would be fine....

I didn't know what to do with this strong, earthy scent. So the sample stayed in my cupboard for over a year. Then I received a sample of cypress. The 2 of them together, they're great that way. Awesome sauce SOS. I make incense, each scent was standard concentration...

UGH. This has to be one of the worst oils I've every gotten from Save on Scents. I don't know how else to describe this other than pungent and synthetic smelling. Real oakmoss is earthy, soft, rich and yummy smelling. This is NONE of those things. I can't stand the smell of it. (extreme concentration)...

I have this product in Ultra and it smells like oak moss to me.. Used it for a mans cologne that turned out nice.

Bought this in extreme. I don't know what the real thing smells like, but in my opinion, this IS Oakmoss.
It is dry, powdery, mossy, a little woody and slightly sweet.
Smelling out of the bottle I thought "no way is this oakmoss, it won't mix well". But, when I blended it in my perfume recipes, it gave off that unmistakable powdery,soapy, moss note on the dry down. Perfect!

I bought the 1/2 roll on to try in my body butter. I mixed it with anthoer fragrance and it's just what I was searching for. I had an oakmoss fragrance fom another wholesaler but could no longer get it. So happy I found his one. Now I won't have to discontinue the body butter scent people have grown to love....

Yup, not oak moss at all, but it's a nice mossy mens scent. Smells more like mens cologne than the dusty, dry distinctive smell of real Oak moss. Definitely would like SOS to come up with a real Oak Moss FO. Three points for being usable but nothing near five because it isn't oak moss at all...

I have to agree with the others, not Oak moss in my opinion. I also find it a bit powdery and even on the sweet side, but not unpleasant. Would be nice if you guys can come up with a nice Oak Moss blend.......

EX sample. Like the other reviewers pointed out, this does not smell like oakmoss at all. It's sweet, powdery, and floral in a cheap way. Real oakmoss absolute is one of my favorite natural perfumery ingredients, green, damp, slightly rubbery, and woody-sweet in a masculine way. This oil does not replicate any of these qualities in real oakmoss. The search goes on......

Hmm, this one smells nothing like Oakmoss. It smells very powdery, and a bit like rose. Very disappointed with this one. There's no green or smokey element to this at all. No moss smell either. It reminds me of my grandma's cheap rose soap. I'm not even sure if it would blend well or not. I thought I'd give it a shot because most reviewers said the scent was nice, even if it didn't smell like oakmoss. This one is not earthy at all. On the upside, the other 12 fragrances I ordered are wonderful! 11 out of 12 isn't bad! :)...

Ordered sos. Strong scent. Does not smell like pure oakmoss to me. It smells like oakmoss mixed with a woodsy scent a mabey a touch of patchouli. I do like the smell of this stuff. It's enchanting, but smells nothing like original oakmoss....
