MEASUREMENT CONVERSIONS

NOTE: a fluid ounce is not the same as a weighed ounce.  If you are using a spoon to measure, make sure you use the same spoon each time.  This is to ensure you always get the exact measurement.  We highly recommend always using a scale to accurately weigh  your ingredients.

 
1 cup = 8 fluid ounces = 16 tablespoons = 48 teaspoons
1 pound = 16 ounces by weight
2 cups = 1 pint
4 cups = 2 pints = 1 quart
1 ounce = 30 grams by weight
1 fluid ounce = 2 tablespoons
1 fluid ounce = 6 teaspoons
1 tablespoon = 1/2 fluid ounce
3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon

Below are a few approximate
 percentage figures
(these can be helpful for measuring fragrance oils oils)

1/2oz by weight to 1 pound of solid mixture is 3% 
1oz by weight to 1 pound of solid mixture is 6%
1 & 1/2oz by weight to 1 pound of solid mixture is 9%

Basic Color Formulation Chart
red + yellow = orange
yellow + blue = green
blue + red = purple
red + green = brown
green + blue = teal/turquoise

You can make different shades by mixing
the following colors together:
less red = pink
less orange = peach

less purple = violet/lavender
less brown = cream/tan
less blue = light/sky blue
