Ordered as an SOS sniffie.
I kind of get the allure - it's a sweet dusty smell, along with an odor like old, stained cardboard boxes, but there's an unpleasant undercurrent of something moldy that just kills it for me....

Ordered in a sniffie, for use in perfume making. This is a bright, cool musty scent. It's got that dustiness but it's also quite fresh and not as gloomy as I'd expected. I wouldn't smell it and think attic, but it's a nice scent....

I ordered a sniffie in this to see if it would work in one of the more unique candles I'm developing. OOB it brings exactly what I'm looking for. Going to order in Ultra to try and push through some other FOs I'm blending to get me where I need to be. I'm sure it would work just fine in SOS but I don't want it to "smoke out" when the candles are lit either....

Tested sniffie sample dry down on piece of cotton. Concentrated as well as early on in its dry down this fragrance smells like peanuts and urine. Towards the end of the dry down it mellows into a very musty scent with a character all its own and loses both the peanut and urine qualities. This fragrance really needs a chance to unfurl, don't judge it fresh OOB or you'll have the wrong impression. Definitely a good choice for musty atmospheric blending....

I love this for blending. It brings a dusty note to some of my theme candles, although that dusty scent does fade away when burned it still puts the image into peoples heads

Smells a lot like SOS Basement: Cedar wood with a peanut oil edge, plus a green herbal yarrow note that reads as faint mildew, and a definite dust note. I wish the peanut aspects of the cedar were less pronounced, but I often get that effect with cedar. It's not bad, and could read as dusty attic, so well-named. A pleasant scent. I make perfumes, tried the sniffie....

I definitely get a dusty old smell from this oil. It also has a bit of a flowery smell to it.....probably exactly what an old lady's dusty attic might smell like!

This is pretty accurate to that moth balls and dusty scent of an old attic. I will mix this with another fragrance and possibly create something nostalgic.

I definitely get the musty dusty smell from this one...A hint of mold, maybe....A fairly accurate scent, that will probably make a good mixer (maybe with dusty carpet, which I didn't like nearly as much.)...

Slightly nutty with woods, mushrooms and sweet paper. It's a challenging scent on its own but it's unique. If I repurchase, I'd like to try the Extreme concentration.-Purchased Standard concentration for oil-based products....
