I got this in the ultra concentrate and it's definitely a strong scent OOB it just doesn't smell exactly like honey to me. I even went to my pantry and smelled my actual honey for reference. That being said though, it's the closest to actual honey that i've come across so far. I'm excited to mix and try in my coconut wax candles....

This to my nose is a honey note but I swear there's a hint of floral or soap in it. I tried it in a sniffie and decided to get a few ounces of it to see how well it blends.

I received a Sniffie Sample of this fragrance. OOB it smells sweet, if not reminiscent of simple syrup with a touch of maple syrup, not the real kind, but maple flavoring (reminiscent of frosting on a maple donut). I didn't detect any deep organic or powdery notes that I hoped for. This may change when diluted in product. I could imagine it as a good sweet blender, but so far, not as a stand alone, to represent authentic honey. It was decently strong and pleasant....

The only difference between this fragrance and the smell of actual honey is the extra syrup I smell that has been added to this. I bought in extreme concentrate for home fragrance and it's perfect for fragrances that call for a real honey smell. No extra perfume type notes, just honey straight from the honeycomb....

This is not quite a honey scent. It's sweet, and works well in blends to bring out other sweet scents like vanilla or chocolate, or spices.

a very thickly sweet almost-honey note that dries into a coumarinic hay. if you close your eyes you might sorta kinda imagine it's clover honey.

Got this in Extreme scent for use in perfumerie. It fell just short of authentic, true-to-life honey, but is an absolutely essential blending component. As others mentioned, it has some nuances of maple syrup if you sniff hard, but when blended is hardly noticable. Lends that special honey "twang" to blends....

Absolutely wonderful honey scent. I'm normally not particularly fond of honey (it often has a nauseating undertone for me) but I couldn't stop sniffing this. Very much a realistic honeycomb scent and quite strong. I used SOS concentration in lotions, incense, perfume oil, etc....

UGH! I love this scent and have used it before. I have ordered the same concentration each time SOS and this one has FAILED. I have used this new bottle twice, just as in the past, and it doesn't come through in my soap. This bottle has been watered down or something. Not sure what is going on but its NOT the honey fragrance it used to be....

I like this scent a lot. It definitely has some of the qualities other reviewers have mentioned, like maple syrup, caramelized sugar, smoky sweetness. If used sparingly in a blend adds a nice sweet honeyed note. I was hoping for more of a beeswax scent, so I'll have to continue my search for that - but this is perfectly lovely and useful scent to have on hand. (Xtreme conc. used mainly for perfumery.)...

This is a fantastically realistic honey smell. It blends well with everything I've tried it with thus far. Too much does result in a more syrupy scent than desired, so put a little less than you might think in the first round; you can always add more....

This is a really strong honey fragrance. I ordered it in ultra, and it's sweet in a realistic honey-like way, strong, and with a very subtle touch of something musky. Still, overall much more sweet than anything else. Very realistic in my body/shea products. I will plan to buy again....

I've been on a quest for the perfect "dirty" honey scent for months now to use in a perfume oil blend. This one comes close. The undertones are exactly what I want: a little musky, earthy, and rich. Unfortunately, there's a looming "perfumey" (for lack of a better word) note that just won't fade. It just floats above the sexy goodness (it's such a tease!!! Lol). I'm hoping maybe it's travel shock and my precious honeycomb notes will settle into the perfect fragrance after a few days. We shall see... I poured some into a warming dish to see how the heat changed he scent. While it may be too "powdery" or "perfumey" for my skin, it's muskiness peeks through, balancing out the floral scent and gives my house a romantic kinda vibe. :)...

I was disappointed in this one. The initial scent is very sharp, then it settles to a "honey like" smell. Overall, not what I was looking for.

I was looking for more of a beeswax scent, but this is mostly super sweet honey with only a faint hint of wax. It takes over perfume blends with it's stron,g cloying sweetness. I was disappointed and no longer use this oil. It you are looking for a very sweet honey for perfume applications, however, this certainly is sweet enough....

Honey? Perhaps at a very low level, as is reminds me of you Copal almost smoky. I just dont hit honey.....sorry!

Dead-on honey scent, amazing and intense. Got it first in XC concentrate, for body fragrance. Very, very impressed -- honey in the comb, intensified. Blends beautifully, too, complementing woody and nutty scents very amiably. Highly recommended, very satisfied....

SOS Concentration. Absolutely the best true honey scent I've ever encountered. My only wish is that I'd gotten the stronger concentration on my initial order, I love this stuff! Smells like true honey....
