Purchased: Extreme 1oz / For: EDP's & Hulies. Diluted On: Day 1 of receiving / Diluted to 50% in PA: Ethanol 95% ABV for 48 hours prior to sampling. / Hours On Test Strip 400+ as Its still going! Longevity: 10/10**Sillage: 10/10** Iteration Accuracy: 9/10** Overall: 10/10
It may not be a dead ringer for the original 1977 perfume but to be fair I think if it was, it would cost significantly more. It's beautiful. As iterations go I think it's excellent. In my estimation it's 90-95% of the way to the finish line which is impressive. Very impressive. Somebody at SOS took their time to love on this formula because it's good, very complex. I think this is Sieuzac's greatest formulation. It's signature scent grade, both the original and this Iteration. The sandalwood isn't as creamy as the original and it's a tad bit more soapy, sharp. It could use a bit more opoponax and a tad bit dirtier musk and a deeper creamy sandalwood AC perhaps adding a little brahmanol. Of course sandalwood price...

Very similar to the real thing. Oscar de la Renta has always reminded me of Coty Airspun powder and L'Origan perfume. Vanderbilt is a fresher spin on this type of fragrance. Powdery and lightly spicy white floral and incensey woods. I purchase all of my oils in extreme concentration. A++...

Well, this smells nothing like the Oscar de la Renta I wore in the 70's but it is not an unpleasant smell. I have the extreme concentration and do not find it an overly strong fragrance. A sort of nondescript floral....

I purchased the SOS concentration for use in MP Soap Making. My mother absolutely adores the perfume so when I saw this oil I just had to get it for her. It is spot-on to the original fragrance and a little definately goes a long way with this oil. Superb!...
