this can be too woodsy and spicy by itself but very good to blend with other scent as a bottom note

I didn't care for this one at all. Some people don't know all the different characteristics of oud and they can get a bit barnyard smelling. This one does have that, plus an assortment of other smells that didn't calm it down. Has the oud in it, just not the sweet smoky oud people might be expecting....

This is a great scent. It does not smell like oud, if that is what you're expecting. This is based off of Tom Ford's fragrance and I think the name is confusing if people aren't paying attention to the fact that it's a "Type". This scent is a decent dupe for the price but in evaluating the scent, evaluate it for what it is. It has an interesting sweet and wood combo and I really like it....

I agree with the other two reviewers. This dupe and the den al oud both lack the "oud" or agarwood note which makes Tom Ford and den al oud distinctive and middle eastern. It almost seems that patchouli is used to make up for the real thing. The problem is that both oils end up with earthy notes instead of the smoky medicinal dirty scent of "oud wood"....
