I got a sniffy of this to sample as a perfume mixer. Wet on the skin, I smell a green flower, not quite carnation but with that same creamy spicy clove scent--maybe a geranium?--with a faint spike of pepper and wood. Quite pretty. Smells like a wonderful vintage French scent someone historical might've worn. It was slightly soapy on my sister, spiced with a tint of fruity wood. Good sillage but definitely a spiced soap. Which probably would make this fabulous in body product applications. Is nice by itself as a perfume as well. Neither of us got much patchouli from it, which is just as well. The blend was subtle....
