like everyone else, the cucumber in this is quite strong. smells more like still-wet, freshly-pressed paper. the smell is incredibly mild and is easily overwhelmed in a blend.

I first got this in a sniffie. It smelled like a light white paper, and I thought it might make a nice fresh/green note in a blend. I ordered a bigger bottle in Ultra and was very disappointed; there must have been a subtler pungent note that came through in a larger quantity of oil. I don't think it is something pleasant enough to use in any application by itself, but I tried blending it with about 10 different oils of varying strengths and category types, all without success. I'm stumped with this one....

It doesn't smell like paper, but has a hint of florals, and cucumber (like the other reviews said). I am mixing mine with 2lbs of soy wax at 1.5oz and .5 oz of Patchouli, which gives it more of a paper-like scent, but still not what I was aiming for....

This scent does smell vaguely of almost...old printer paper. It's there but then there's also that wet cucumber note so in the end it kind of reminds me of wet paper. It's perfect for the blend I wanted though....

Bought the standard concentration for soap. The scent reminds me of freshly sliced cucumbers and glossy magazines. This is not an "antique" paper or book smell. This liquid is clear and a good mixer.

Got as a sniffie. Smells rather floral, but still nice. Although, nothing like what I was expecting from the name or description.

Yup, roger the cucumber note. I love the idea that this is papyrus, but what I get smells like sliced cucumbers wrapped in butcher paper. The cucumbers are very clear, fresh and green and a bit damp, and then there's this brown paper scent that is dead on. If the cucumbers were out of the picture, this would be brown paper exactly. Still, while not smelling like paper much, it is an intriguing scent and might make a very nice base for some of the brighter, sharper florals. Will be well worth experimenting with....

Got this in a Sniffie Sample. I agree that it doesn't smell like true paper. It is a little too sweet and "wet" smelling. It could pass off as a parchment scent if mixed with some other elements. Still a nice fragrance, though....

Great scent, with a slightly misrepresented name. I feel this scent more embodies the idealized smell of leafy papyrus, because of the slight herbal smell. This is neither the paper from old worn in books, nor the smell of fresh newsprint. Paper has a slight nuttiness to it, along with a characteristic smell thats somewhat reminiscent to a cool cucumber, with a hint of earthy dryness that brings you back to the paper-like qualities. This is a hybrid of smells that meld together nicely. I would change the name to Papyrus....
