We received the SOS concentration last week with our order as a free sample. Why does this fragrance oil separate? After one week of receipt & still in the original bottle, there is, at minimum, a 1/16 inch depth of orange sediment in the bottom of the bottle. We have found this issue with a few of their other scents, although it usually takes at least a couple of months for the separation to occur. Why is there sediment? Is it because the fragrance oil is old and shouldn\'t be used? Is it a phthalate issue? We support SOS on the removal of phthalates from their fragrance oils. However, if an oil is prone to separation, it should be noted on the product page.
It was free. We gave this a 3 because it separates. Depending on your application, separation could be a huge issue for you. It is for us. At least this one let us know almost immediately.
