Customer service was great and shipping was fast (I recieved this as an extreme sniffie), this scent was my favorite of the five I got! It does have a very 'sleepy' undertone, distantly reminiscent of chamomile or a 'sleepytime' tea, but you definitely get this musky earthy scent with it, hence the 'forest' part. While I can pick out musk and tea, they really blend well to create something new, to me it honestly just smells like... accidentally falling asleep in a dark enchanted forest? Lol, exactly what i was looking for, a scent that gives you a strong visual or a 'vibe' with it. I think sleepy hollow is the perfect name for it but it'd be good if you're going for anything fantasy/enchanted. I smelled it OOB, on a q-tip, and mixed with a small amount of para-soy wax to test as a wax melt, and all was great!...

Ordered in a sniffie, for use in perfume making. Such a good one. Earthy, cool, moist and dark. It smells like damp moss looks.

Sleepy Hollow is dark and earthy, with just a touch of mature sweetness to it. Based on the notes, it is more perfume-y than I expected. This would be a good candle/perfume/incense fragrance for those who seek something "darker" and unique, but not juvenile. [Tested on skin.]...

Love this one! It's amazing to add to blends to give them a darker edge and fragrance profile. This is a go-to when I'm looking for dark resinous notes without turning to labdanum concentrates. I use it in many scents and sometimes just a few drops is enough to turn a fragrance into something completely new and unexpected. Can't live without this one!...

The juries still out on this one. I ordered as a sniffy and although I love the tangy, earthy , spicy smell when I first put it on my skin, that part fades to quickly and leaves only a heavy really sweet smell. Not crazy about the super sweet. Maybe I need to give it more of a chance. I have to confess, I was a little disappointed, I was hoping for something a bit more spicy and maybe smoky?...

Interesting smell, it does have that Halloween type theme. Very cologne smelling, with musk and some florals. Reminded me of Mambo perfume.

This fragrance is such a unique fragrance... it's so hard to describe. It's dark, mysterious, creepy and just plain awesome! It has so many layers that it's hard to pinpoint exact notes. I definitely pick up on the dark wet earth with the tincture of sweetness and a hint of botanical greenery. I plan on buying a big bottle of this for sure!...

Got this in a sniffie and I have to agree with the other reviews that this is a mysterious composition. Not sure if I get all the elements listed in the description, but it is a dark scent. I'm thinking of buying this for my Halloween line of incense, maybe add a touch of pine which it does not have....

I don't get the listed notes so much as metal dust, machine oil, green wood, damp wood and faint leaf mold. It dries very sweet on me, but is sure interesting. I make perfumes so this is going to be too complicated for my own blends, but I couldn't resist the description. Would be a great Halloween candle....

blended exactly in such a way that all i can think of is "hobby lobby." it's a slightly generic sweet caramel-and-cinnamon sort of fall scent that i strongly associate with craft stores.

Nice strong scent, heavy on the perfume feel. Reminded me of Jovan Musk a bit, but stronger. A very mature smell . Sniffie sample. Would stand alone nicely.

SOS used in cold processed soap. It produces a very nice dark exotic scent. One of my best sellers. Makes me think of walking through a wooded cemetery during fall at night.

A very dreamy scent. I mix this with another to get our most luxurious line of soaps and candles. We make melt and pour soaps and mixed paraffin and soy candles with this scent.

A wonderful full bodied scent, perfect for any 'goth' line. Only drawback is the coloring that they add to it, sometimes it's blended really well other times it's stuck to the side of the bottle. Will order again but will request no colorant added....
