I got this as a free sample in the extreme formulation. It's a dry herbal, somewhat spicy scent that just doesn't live up to it's name. There's no snow here and the musk is overpowered. I haven't had much luck with it so far, but since it was a freebie, I haven't tried more than one or two blends using it....

I smell pine soap, and coffee with caramel in it. Weird mix. Not a bad blend, seems to meld okay, but definitely a soapy scent with that odd gourmand caramel coffee note. I have smelled that in other 'snow' scents, and I wish I knew what it was. It ruins the cold, clear ice feeling snow representations should contain. This is a nice scent, but it's not my idea of snow musk. Would be okay in a soap if renamed....

Received this in XC in a sniffie. This scent was not at all what I expected from the notes listed, to be honest. I think I expected something with a crisper ozone type feel to it. I can definitely see how a name like "Snow Musk" would be chosen for this - because to my nose it is a very "white" scent - think white florals and sharp green herbs, at least that's what come to mind for me when I smell this. Right off the bat the most predominant note I get is a very strong coriander type note, and almost a really dry parma violet type note, even celery comes to mind here. My main use for fragrance oils is perfumery applications (perfume oils, solids, and in perfumer's alcohol as well). It will be interesting to see how this performs in dilution....

I am excited about this scent. I got a sample of it, and expected something light. Ah not this scent. It is what I consider a dark scent, and will put it in with the other ones. I make incense, and will put it with the patchouli, midsummer's night and dragon's blood. My customers whom like those scents I think will like this scent. Way to go SOS!...
