Fresh sassafras root. Teaberry-like with none of the mothball fragrance I've smelled in other synthetic sassafrases. Would be great for spring scents. Purchased sniffie in extreme.

Just like sarsparilla soda or horehound candy (which you will be familiar with if you ever went to one of those cheesy Old West tourist towns and visited the General Store.) Spicy and sweet, earthier and not quite candied like a root beer, but with that characteristic spicy brown murkiness. I love this because it could be mixed with vanilla for a sweeter, more root beer scent, or mixed with florals and earthy notes to achieve a more sophisticated result....

I purchased a sniffie of this (ex. con.)
This smells like sarsaparilla soda, but not as sweet. I would also compare it to Necco wafers. Does it smell like sassafras? Yes, but without the dirt/soil note. Just the bark and root! It's smells so delicious! :)...

(perfumery) Not quite right, but close. Good sassafras spiciness and minty tingle. Doesn't have the rooty/earthy depth I expected, though, and dries down plasticky. More clearly synthetic than I'd like; adding a little wintergreen and clove to Rootbeer gave a more pleasing mix overall....

I dig up sassafras every winter and make tea with it, its my favorite! This is Spot On! If you are looking for a sassafras smell, this is exactly what you will find with this fragrance!! I received this as an extreme sample. I use fragrances for many products such as lotions, scrubs, massage oils etc. And this fragrance has good strength to it...
