I bought this in the Ultra concentration for incense blends. I have to agree with other reviews--not sweet, a dry, yet clean ginger, that will work well with other fragrances.

(Ex. Con.) Strong OOTB. At first this smells like sweet ground ginger, but if you give it some time, a freshness starts to emerge. This is not nose-piercing like raw ginger but there is just enough sharpness in this to tickle the nose. I think this is a pretty accurate scent....

sos con. works very well to give a spicy kick to blends, especially mens fragrences. works well as incense, bath crystal, and as a room spritz

I love this oil. It is very true ginger with a great throw. Great mixer - nice spiciness and exotic. Bought in regular strength for incense.

I received this in a sample previously and loved it. It's a great mixture with other citrusy scents. I ordered this in the sos and I use it for body butters and soap.

This was not what I was expecting at all I accidentally got two bottles one in ultra and one in xtreme.. I like this ginger because it has none of the sweet note that I was thinking in my head ginger had. No not this ginger. It is pure root ginger....

I ordered this in ultra. I use fragrances for many products such as lotions, scrubs, massage oils etc. This smell JUST LIKE GINGER! Spicy with a little heat, this is perfect for blending with fragrances that you want to have a touch of ginger...Great fragrance!...

A mildly hot ginger. Smells of ground ginger rather than the hot sharp juice of fresh ginger. Good for blends.

I would not recommend to use by itself it has a odd smell to it but mixed with other scents, it really takes on a ginger smell..... Purchased in Extreme formula.

This is EXACTLY as described. It smells like real ginger and the last thing you'd want to do is use it by itself (yuck). But it goes perfectly with citrus-y and fresh scents. I used the SOS concentration in body products....
