This straddles the line between a masculine scent that humans would wear, and a potpourri. Overall, a comforting aroma that is both dark and sweet. The vanilla is upfront and direct, grown up (not a marshmallow at all) and invoking a bit of L'artisan Perfumer's raw vanilla note. The tobacco is more understated and supporting. I detect no coffee notes, which is a shame, it could do a lot to counteract the treacle and nondescript room-spray-country-spice elements that are hovering in the background. Indeed they are a minor note, and blending in well the longer I wear this sample, but the effect is much like going shopping in a craft store (perhaps an upscale one?) in the company of a retired member of parliament. Overall, this is a tobacco scent with a lot of rich sweetness, which is not a bad thing....
