I purchased a 1oz SOS sample of this fragrance. I really didn't have an idea of what this scent would smell like. I normally don't have a feeling about the smell of real dirt but let me tell you.....I like this scent in its SOS level (not sure about the Ultra or Extreme bur one can only assume that the scent will be stronger). This scent has a sweet undertone to it. I can't wait to make a test bath salt to see if my clients will enjoy this scent as much as I do....

This is Fresh Dirt, just how you have always smelled it outside on a warm, sunny day in spring! It definitely has it's limited use in perfumery, but on it's own, it is so fun! Delightful!

reading all the reviews i did not know if i was going to like this one or not. People you do not know what you are talking about, THIS IS TRUE DIRT_ I mean DIRT. For warmed when making this scent it will over power all other scents in the room, you need to make this one by itself. I love it and I think hunters will love it also. I ordered 1 pound of the ultra and it every strong. Looking forward to making soap and bath soak for men out of this one. The incese i made tunred out great, now if i can just turn men on to this scent for hunting seasonal game we will be in business. Love it , and looking forward to buying more of the dirt oil....

Not a bad dirt smell. It's a little on the sweet side for dirt, but it does remind me very much of the outdoor garden section of a big store. It's not bad or unpleasant on its own (would make lovely candles, I think), but as a mixer with something more earthy (patchouli, perhaps) and something a little more floral (jasmine, maybe, or a light rose), it could be really stunning. I tried EC in a bit of carrier oil and tested on skin....

How did you get this so perfect? I feel like I'm taking a hike near a waterfall with wet, muddy, mossy, earth oh my word this is incredible.

How this ended up in the Novelty section I have no idea. Yes it smells like fresh dirt as it claims to, but the smell is damp and perfumy. It is the ultimate earth note for any fragrance and it blends very well with woods and spices. I used it in paraffin candles and found it to have good throw, much better than the other scents I used though Your Mileage May Vary....

Phenols with a light dry dirt smell, not exactly what I was expecting but made a great blender with green meadows.

Absolutely spot-on--rich moist earth. This is an unequalled blender with anything woody or musky and does surprisingly neat things with the fresher green scents. Gives a cool-toned mineral note and depth to pretty much anything. This is an 'earth' scent: for a 'dust' scent, try Planting Soil. [SOS, perfume]...

OOB, this reminds me of the smell that comes in the summer when it first begins to rain. I think this would be really good for blending. I used it straight on my skin. It hasn't been an hour and all traces of the fragrance is gone tho. I would try this again but in the EC next time. 5 PLUS stars for the scent but I can only give it 3 because it didn't last......
